Located in Khewasinrin District, Surin Province, this village is a distinguished center for ancient silver craftsmanship, preserving and passing down its traditional knowledge through generations.
The Charm of Luk Pakem
A distinctive feature of silverware from this area is the Luk Pakem, or silver prayer beads, which are beautifully crafted with unique patterns reflecting the identity of the local Khmer community. These silver pieces are handmade with meticulous skill, using ancient embossing techniques passed down through generations, making each item a valuable work of art, both culturally and economically.
Craft Learning and Demonstration Center
Within the village, visitors can explore the Ban Chok Silver Handicraft Group, which serves as both a learning center and a marketplace for silverware. The center offers demonstrations of traditional silver-making techniques by local craftsmen, notably Mr. Puang Jiaothong, a National Artist of 2009 (B.E. 2552), who has played a key role in preserving and passing on Surins ancient silver craftsmanship.

The village is open daily from 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM.
Visitors can reach the village by traveling from Surin City along Highway 214 (SurinRoi Et) for approximately 14 kilometers, then turn right and continue about 6 kilometers to the village.
