Hor Rice Organic Surin Participates in the National Rice and Farmers Day 2026
#HorRice #OrganicSurinRice is participating in the #NationalRiceAndFarmersDay2026 event, held at the Rice Department, Kasetsart University (Bangkhen Campus), Bangkok, from June 5–7, 2026 (Friday–Sunday).

At this event, we are proudly showcasing Surin Mali Nil Rice, a traditional indigenous rice variety from Surin Province. It is distinguished by its long, slender grains, deep purple-black color, and fragrant aroma similar to Jasmine rice. Rich in antioxidants, it is commonly consumed as brown rice due to its soft, chewy, and pleasantly sticky texture, while offering significant health benefits.

The National Rice and Farmers Day 2026 is organized under the theme:

“United in Loyalty, Preserving Thai Rice: Two Decades of the Rice Department Advancing Under Her Majesty the Queen Mother's Benevolence.”

The event features academic exhibitions on rice from the Rice Department and partner organizations, demonstrations of smart agricultural technologies at the model rice field, and showcases of how knowledge, science, technology, and innovation can be applied to rice production. These efforts aim to improve efficiency, reduce production costs, and elevate Thai agriculture toward long-term sustainability.

The event also serves as a platform to connect national rice development policies with practical implementation in rice-growing areas across Thailand, focusing on production systems, marketing, and farm management to help farmers reduce costs, increase productivity, and strengthen livelihood security. In addition, visitors can learn about modern agricultural technologies and innovations tailored to the needs of contemporary farming.
