Chaloem Phra Kiat King Bhumibol Adulyadejs 80th Birthday Anniversary Park, Surin Province commonly known among locals as Suan Mai (New Park) or Suan Chang (Elephant Park) is a large public park located in Nok Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang Surin District.
The park is open to the public daily from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., serving as a relaxing green space, an exercise area, and a community activity center.

This park is thoughtfully designed to promote public health, featuring clearly separated jogging and cycling tracks that allow visitors to exercise safely and comfortably. Within the park, there are outdoor fitness equipment stations as well as an indoor fitness center open to the public, fully equipped with a wide variety of exercise machines.

Chaloem Phra Kiat Park is a place suitable for all ages, especially families looking to spend quality time together. The park features playgrounds and outdoor activity areas where children can learn and develop skills through play. Additionally, there is a multi-purpose sports court for sepaktakraw, volleyball, and basketball, along with basketball training programs organized for local youth.

From Wasteland to a Quality Public Park
Chaloem Phra Kiat Park began construction in 2004 by the Surin Provincial Administrative Organization with the aim of honoring the King and creating green space for the public. In addition to serving as a place for exercise and relaxation, the park also plays an important role as a retention basin, helping to manage water drainage and prevent flooding in urban Surin.

By Private Car
From downtown Surin, drive along the main city road (Highway 226) heading northwest for about 2 kilometers. The park will be on the right-hand side.
By Motorcycle or Bicycle
For those staying in Surin city, traveling by motorcycle or bicycle is a convenient and quick option, following the same route as by car.
By Public Transport
You can take a songthaew (shared truck) or a local bus running along the main city road and get off at the stop near Chaloem Phra Kiat Park. A short walk from there will lead you to the park.
On Foot
If you are staying nearby, walking to the park is convenient since it is not far from the city center.
