“The Lost Taste” of Surin Province – elevating local cuisine into cultural heritage and showcasing the unique Thai identity through Thailand’s Best Local Food.
Local dishes from Surin’s “The Lost Taste” project include Mok Moo, Lawaek Dam, Mok Pla Siw, Beoh Dong, and Coconut Leaf Rice Porridge. “Beoh Dong,” a traditional Surin delicacy, was selected by Thailand’s Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture, as part of the “The Lost Taste” campaign to preserve disappearing local flavors and culinary heritage.
